Visitors Guide

Thank you for planning a personal visit to the Grand Central Railroad Park... we look forward to meeting you.

Please introduce yourself to any GCRR Members that you see. You can usually identify a GCRR Member by a yellow shirt with the GCRR logo on it. (they are also the people often seen putting the trains back on the track after derailments)

 

We ask that you enjoy train spotting only from the sidewalks and that you supervise your grandchildren so that they also stay on the sidewalks.

 

We ask that you supervise your grandchildren so that their actions do not interfere with train operations especially at the Railroad Crossing over the sidewalk.

Visitors - Easter 2012 - Night Run

All the trains you will see in operation are personally owned by GCRR Members. The members bring their trains for your enjoyment (as well as their own). Individual engines may cost a few hundred dollars up to a few thousand dollars. The trains are very detailed models of the real prototypes and are quite fragile. The trains should only be handled by GCRR Members.

 

If a derailment (or worse yet a multi train wreck) occurs near you, we ask that you allow the GCRR Members to correct the situation.

 

We do worry about damage to building structures and trains so we ask your help in looking after our model railroad... please report any suspicious activity to Security, especially during night time hours.

 

 

We ask just three more things of you:

  1. Visit as often as you can, invite family members and friends... and share the fun of model railroading with us.

  3. Consider joining our Railroading Interest Group. Any GCRR Member would be glad to assist you get started in Garden Railroading. Buy your own train for as little as $250 and become an active member of the Grand Central Railroad. We look forward to welcoming you to our Railroading Interest Group in Sun City Grand.
